“Friend of The Voice”

The Voice wants to be the community based LOCAL radio station for the North Devon area: Barnstaple, Bideford, South Molton & Ilfracombe with other towns to follow in time and the internet.

The Voice is entirely owned, controlled and operated by members of the local community. We are supported by local businesses and receive some help from trusts and grant giving bodies but the financial help of local people is vital to keep us going.

If you enjoy The Voice and want to support our activities you can help by becoming a 'Friend of The Voice' and taking out a regular standing order. Friends will receive regular information and news about our activities, as well as other benefits such as reduced price merchandise and automatic competition entry.

What your money pays for:

We need to raise a minimum of £2000 every month to cover our basic costs including licence fees, royalties, studio costs, staff and volunteer costs, renewal of equipment etc. So if you are able to afford it, we would like you to become a Friend of The Voice and give us a monthly donation. 1000 listeners giving us just £24 per year will enable us to keep going and going and going. However we have donation levels of £36 per year and £120 per year. You can become a Friend of The Voice – simply by donating here:

• £24 – makes you a colleague of the Voice (that’s the equivalent of £2 per month)
• £36 – makes you a best friend of the Voice and we will send you some Voice merchandise in appreciation of your donation (that’s just £3 per month)
• £120 – makes you a business partner – you will get a listing and link to a business website along with merchandise (that’s £10 per month)

We need to raise a minimum of £25,000 to ensure we can broadcast. This will cover our running costs with volunteers. We are ultimately looking to raise £100,000 per year through mixed funding channels to ensure we can go on to employ full time paid presenters, bringing back and securing the longer term future for local radio to North Devon.
