Dai is one of the world’s experts in security and investigation, a former Head of Royal Protection and Chief Superintendent of the Metropolitan Police. His long and distinguished career with the Met Police service culminated with his appointment in 1995 as Operational Unit Commander in charge of Royal Protection for HM The Queen and the Royal Family. He is also a media expert on security terrorism and policing related issues and is a regular on BBC, Sky and international media outlets.

We’re delighted to welcome Dai to Saunton, his breadth of knowledge and intriguing insight on royal protection will make for a fantastic seminar. Dai’s talks will include the history of royal protection, from George III to the present day, and a talk on Princess Diana’s death.
