## Adult Aikido Classes
**Discover a dynamic Japanese martial art – challenging, effective and great fun to learn.**
Train in **our own dedicated dojo** and discover Aikido, a traditional Japanese martial art in which you learn to respond to attacks using movement, timing, balance and technique.
Our adult classes offer **real martial arts training in a friendly, supportive environment**. Training includes strikes, grabs, joint controls, pins and throws, together with learning how to fall and roll safely. You’ll practise with partners, develop techniques progressively and discover how positioning, timing and technique can be used to deal with force rather than simply relying on strength.
Aikido is both physically and mentally engaging. Regular training develops **fitness, balance, coordination, mobility, confidence and body awareness**, while giving you an absorbing range of martial skills to develop over time.
You don’t need previous martial arts experience or a particular level of fitness to begin. Our instructors will introduce you to the fundamentals and help you progress safely at your own pace. As your experience grows, training becomes increasingly challenging, dynamic and rewarding.
Our dedicated dojo gives us a permanent space designed for martial arts training and a real club atmosphere. We welcome adults of different ages and backgrounds, from complete beginners to experienced martial artists.
Whether you’re looking for a martial art, an interesting way to keep active, a new challenge or simply something completely different to try, come and experience Aikido for yourself.
**No previous experience needed – beginners are always welcome.**
