Captain Accident creates his unique blend of rock-driven soulful roots reggae, ska & dub at his studio in Cardiff. With the help of the finest musical collective dubbed, "The Disasters", this sound is then explosively transformed onto the stage, bringing an energetic & captivating live show. With soulful vocals, luscious harmonies, soaring twin guitars and a truly infectious groove, there’s no standing still when Captain Accident and his clumsy companions are in town.
They are touring their new album 'Sayanora Paranoia' which will no doubt gain the band more acclaim. Previous albums received great reviews and praise, including that from the legendary David Rodigan on his BBC Radio 1xtra Reggae Show.
Captain Accident and The Disasters were hand-picked to join reggae heroes Toots & the Maytals for a run of dates on a past UK tour, and Captain Accident was even invited on stage by Toots to play guitar for the 'Monkey Man' song.
As well as Toots & the Maytals, CA & the D have shared a stage with many of the biggest names in reggae & ska including: Suggs (who jumped on stage to sing with the band!), Steel Pulse, Alborosie, Less Than Jake, Aswad, The Skints, The Abyssinians, Big Youth, Maxi Priest, Sister Sledge, The Skatalites, Bad Manners, The Toasters, Neville Staple (The Specials), Fishbone, David Rodigan and reggae royalty, Julian Marley.
Opening the show is the rising starlet of the UK music scene, Ez Dickens. This vibrant South-West solo artist, delivers a live show powered by rhythmic grooves, crafty lyrical content, soulful vocals and infectious energy. Having recently released her EP ‘Words That Mean Nothing’, with single ‘Someone’ surpassing 200,000 streams, Ez has been on the rise this past year going from strength to strength at UK festivals, headline shows and a support tour with The Undercover Hippy. Ez’s singer-songwriter roots pave the way for an engaging and personable performance, driven by her electric energy and relatable lyrics in an eclectic reggae/ska/dub/hiphop/gypsy-folk fusion.
